Unlock the secrets to sculpting realistic, dynamic fabric and fine details. While we will be using a Space Marine as our canvas for the weekend, the techniques taught in this class are completely universal, giving you the skills and confidence to sculpt realistic clothing, cloaks, and details for any miniature range, system, or custom project.

Course Overview

In this advanced two-day class, you will explore the fundamental principles of sculpting realistic cloth, drapery, and fine detail.

• Universal Fabric Sculpting: Learn how to plan, sculpt, and refine natural-looking, dynamic cloth (such as tabards, capes, and loincloths) that flows convincingly.

• Precision Detail Work: Master the precision and control needed for fine detail work, using the iconic Templar Cross as a hands-on exercise in carving crisp, clean geometry.

• Complete Your Conversion: Transform a standard miniature into a uniquely customized warrior, leaving the weekend with a finished model and a powerful new skill set applicable to any hobby project.

What is Provided

Students can travel light! The following will be provided for you on the day:

• The Models (supplied by the instructor)

• Cutting mats and hobby lights (supplied by the store)

• Specialty Tool Loan: Ben will have his specialty sculpting tools on hand for students to use during the class.

What You Need to Bring

Please ensure you bring the following essential materials with you, most will be available to buy from Underworld Gaming on the day.

• Green Stuff (kneadatite epoxy putty)

• A grey, bullet-tipped silicone colour shaper (highly recommended)

• Notebook & pen/pencil (for taking notes)

• Your own favourite sculpting tools (optional, but welcome if you have preferred tools you like to use)
